Spoken Word

So, I spoke my first poem at a spoken word poetry reading.

It was amazing, exhilarating, insane.

Words couldn't explain the amount of adrenaline that was pumping in me.

My ears couldn't seem to capture the amount of applause coming from the hands of over 30 individuals.

It was spectacular.

And yet, there's more to come <3

Restoration

"And so I run to the things they said could restore me, restore life the way it should be."

A meticulous past

I read this from an article for my leadership class.
This is by Van Wycks Brooks.
I thought that this quote was very interesting.

"He permits the whole weight of his meticulous past to tip the beam against the living present."
