An Angel

The day after my car accident,
I went with my friend to get her oil change.
A little girl was in there waiting with her mom.
But as soon as I got into the waiting room,
She gave me this faint smile, this look, like she knew me.
Like she understood what happened last night.
She then slowly came up to me, and gently touched my left leg.
I was wearing ripped jeans, so I thought she just liked the texture of it.
But it occurred to me, that my left leg was the leg that was hurt in the accident.
When, I was leaving, she waved good-bye to me with a smile.
I waved back, and gave her a smile, as well.
The second the car was about to pull off, I looked back,
And she put her arms out to me, as if to be saying, "Come with me..."
That was the day, I saw an angel.

Desire

For once, I just want to know what it feels like, to be truly appreciated by a man.

Aftermath

Sometimes we have to bleed the blood from which we have cut ourselves.

A Poem

This poem is from the book Don Quijote by Miguel De Cervantes.
This poem describes some of what has been in my mind, as of lately.
So, I can directly relate to this.
Listen...

Just as everything fades away
In the end, so Fortune's favors
Ebbed and died, trickled slowly,
To nothing, shaded
And forever old.
I've groveled here at Fortune's feet
For centuries, praying for grace;
Oh let me see some newborn sweetness
Shine in her face,
Rise up complete.
I long for nothing more, no glory,
No joy, no other victory,
No burning triumph, no eternal story,
But only the history
That was, and destroyed me.
Fortune, oh let me be there again,
And soon, and this searing heat,
This pressing pain, will be soothed and the end
Will be endlessly sweet
And all complete.
But I want too much, for nothing and no one
Can restore what's disappeared;
Time never turns, it's never been done;
No past reappears,
No history draws near.
Time runs and leaps, flies quickly by,
And never turns back, and we're wrong
To beg it to stop, to return: the sky
Of yesterday is gone
Like yesterday's song.
My life is perpetual confusion, hoping
And fearing, first hope, then fear
Forever believing that Death's stern joke
Is better than tears
Over long-dread years.
But still, as I long for this to be done,
I know that what I possess
Is better than anything yet to be won
In that unknown emptiness
Still to come.

Practicality

There's no such thing as impossible, just impractical within life's practical terms.

Until He Rises

Drench me with those covers
Spread your arms amongst my skin
Let your whispers caress my soul
Never felt so close to warm blood
Shivers to bid your heart's desires
I'll remember your heart's calling
For me, I long for the chills
That tomorrow couldn't bring
New found love, your eyes
Match with mine
No recollection of yesterday
We part past's ways with the
Hopes of tomorrow
A sweet breath of wine
No shadowed ways,
Some baggage to be left unclaimed
Untamed, unshamed, I cannot blaim
Love's lust for beauty's mane
Karma claims her vengeance
And the wind's howl screams no longer
Tipsy skies, to our demise
We lay in bed until the sun proclaims our sighs

Photography

So, until I get some models, I will take a few new pictures of myself, and post them.
I hope that's not too conceited :|
Enjoy :)

Spoken Word

So, I spoke my first poem at a spoken word poetry reading.
It was amazing, exhilarating, insane.
Words couldn't explain the amount of adrenaline that was pumping in me.
My ears couldn't seem to capture the amount of applause coming from the hands of over 30 individuals.
It was spectacular.
And yet, there's more to come <3

Restoration

"And so I run to the things they said could restore me, restore life the way it should be."

A meticulous past

I read this from an article for my leadership class.
This is by Van Wycks Brooks.
I thought that this quote was very interesting.

"He permits the whole weight of his meticulous past to tip the beam against the living present."

The Understanding

She wouldn't know, even if she tried.
It makes no difference, which way the road may curve.
It makes no difference, what season may emerge.
But, a line has been drawn,
Dividing A from B.

Up

I thought these lyrics were real.

James Morrison ft. Jessie J-Up

How can I find you
When you're always hiding from yourself
Playing hide and seek with me
Till it gets too dark
Too dark, inside your shell
Why do I even try
When you take me for granted
I should know better by now
When you call I already hear that crashing sound
As it all falls down

It's never too late to turn it back around
Yeah I know you can
Don't bury your demons deep in the ground
When it all falls down
The only way is up, up, up
The only way is up

I watch your spirit break
As it shatters into a million pieces
Just like glass I see right through you
And your parade of excuses
Feels like groundhog day
You say the same things over and over
There's that look in your eye
And I hear that crashing sound
As it all falls down

It's never too late to turn it back around
Yeah I know you can
Don't bury your demons deep in the ground
When it all falls down
The only way is up, up, up
The only way is up

It's your love that's strong
It's the only thing that keeps me holding on
It's your heart that's weak
But it's not too weak to bring you back to me

It's never too late to turn it back around
Yeah I know you can
Don't bury your demons deep in the ground
When it all falls down
When it all falls down

It's never too late to turn it back around
When it all falls down
The only way is up
The only way is up, up, up
The only way is up

When it all falls down

Earnest

"If you could just be earnest
Oops I meant honest and make this promise
If any of this makes sense, let 'em know I wasn't crazy, just thoroughly convinced..."

The Pieces

All we have is one big puzzle.
The pieces are scattered everywhere.
We spend forever trying to sort them out.
To find which ones match.
To dispel of the ones that cannot seem to fit together.
We get so aggravated while we turn and twist each one,
This way and that way, that way and this way.
We scratch our heads in mere curiosity,
While following some type of mental path in our minds,
To reach the end?
But no matter how many times we try to start at a different place of the puzzle,
We'll reach the same end result.
There is no one right place to start,
Nor is there one right place to end.
Puzzle.
Indeed, we are "puzzled."

S a v i o r

I am my own savior.
I protect my body, and my body protects me.
I've saved myself from falling too far,
And even when I've fallen so deeply, I've picked myself up,
And taught myself how to walk again.
I am my own savior.
